I had not realised she had passed away. She was a truly inspirational teacher. I went on to Oxford after Godolphin and can truly say that Miss Goodwin was as good a teacher as any of my tutors there. She made me look at the world differently. Your piece transported me back to my history of art classes. I can see Miss Goodwin now talking to us about the impact of Roman and Greek art even though it was not on the syllabus. We didn't start the syllabus until the summer term of the first year as she wanted to give us a grounding in classical art. Can you imagine that happening now?
